INVISALIGN

Invisalign consists of a series of clear removable aligners which eliminate the need for fixed braces.  The aligners are changed every 1 to 2 weeks moving your teeth into a slightly different position each time.

At our office your Invisalign journey will begin with a 3D scan of your teeth using our Itero (link to Itero page)3D scanner. Dr Blandy will then design a treatment plan tailored to you. Then aligners are computer designed and manufactured in sequence to gradually move your teeth into alignment without the use of visible brackets. The technique is available for both adults and teenage patients and Dr Blandy will let you know if you’re suitable to have it.

Not only does Invisalign look near invisible, but Invisalign aligners can be taken out when you’re eating or brushing which has many health benefits. Gum infection, gum growth (gingival hyperplasia), decalcification (white spots) and decay are all potential complications of braces treatment. By being able to remove the Invisalign aligners you can brush and floss normally.
Invisalign treatment is tailored to your teeth so the aligners will fit comfortably in your mouth. This means they don’t cause any irritation or sores which can sometimes be a problem of more traditional braces.  Since the aligners are so comfortable, you should be able to wear them for the recommended 20-22 hours per day that is required for the treatment to be successful.
